IT/BPOs Creates Highest Number Of Employment

Employment in the IT/BPO sector has shown the highest increase at 6.9 lakh during 2009-10. Also, the wages for the IT/BPO sector showed the maximum growth of 9.3 percent during the last quarter, according to the sixth quarterly survey by the Ministry of Labour and Employment to assess the effect of the economic slowdown on employment in the country.

And many of our seniors got placed in MNC's. The news is that we have many jobs waiting for us when we step out next year. May be it is a BPO job or even a programmer. It is good to be prepared for those jobs. For students who are preparing to get placed in B-schools to do MBA, I recommend to do job for atleast 1 or 2 years and then go for MBA. The benefit is U will be exposed to  global scenarios and so the B-schools prefer a guy with experience and average percentile rather than the one with best percetile in competitive exams

And for those who want to settle in jobs directly after B.Tech. U should be well trained in at-least one programming language (java, .net preferred). But now days if u got to jobs directly after a undergraduate degree U may get a good job but the probelm is u wont have growth.

So opt for masters and be master in ur job.
